UX/UI Design Intern – Axios Charlotte

Job summary:
Tepper Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, is looking for a UX/UI Intern who will work on Panthers.com and the Panthers app to help create digital experiences and maintain the overall platform. This role will work closely with the Digital Experience Manager and Performance Marketing Manager to create engaging designs and user journeys across digital marketing channels and enhance revenue-generating campaigns that are in-market .

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the digital marketing team to produce a wide variety of eye-catching on-brand designs
• Use understanding of digital experience design, mobile responsive design, UX best practices and industry trends to produce high performing digital products
• Build end-to-end web experiences, from asset creation, written copy and responsive layout to optimized page metadata and user journey
• Use graphic design tools and programs to create a variety of web and mobile asset types, including header banners, graphic thumbnails, call-to-action buttons, and interactive displays
• Use the backend system of the existing application to refresh the user experience throughout the different cycles of the football event calendar
• Participate in all other assigned tasks

Qualifications:
Minimum
• Degree in design or creative field, marketing or communication
• Previous experience designing or building engaging interactive websites that increase impressions and drive revenue
• Proficiency in visual design programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign
• Understanding of the advertising landscape with an understanding of emerging trends
• Full understanding of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends and select Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Football Club and stadium events including weekends, nights and holidays
• Must pass pre-employment screens
Prefer
• Proven track record of creating design experiences with a matching portfolio
• Strong typography and data visualization skills
• A creative portfolio that demonstrates creative range and design thinking
• Experience in a fast-paced industry

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve the desired outcome
• Self-starter with a hands-on approach, good instincts for prioritization, and the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, project management and communication skills
• Agile and able to respond effectively to the rapidly changing needs of a rapidly changing/high growth organization
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Must be able to handle confidential, privileged and/or sensitive information with care and sensitivity

Physical requirements:
• Ability to sit, walk and stand for long periods throughout the day.
• Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
• The role regularly uses standard office equipment
• Lift at least 20 pounds

Working environment:
This work is performed in a professional office environment (primarily an office environment, outdoors in a stadium facility at times, which may include adverse weather conditions) and remotely as assigned by management and in based on current business needs.
