The series follows the husband and wife duo Shae and Syd McGee from Utah-based interior design firm Studio McGee as they travel to meet a wide range of clients across the United States and complete their dream renovations. With a design mission to “make life beautiful” and known for light, casual interiors with a focus on family and functionality, this season’s renovations are totally swoon-worthy.

Each episode begins with a meet-and-greet between the McGees and the families, where Shae and Syd listen to inspiring stories and imagine a design makeover that fits their needs perfectly. The stories are heartfelt, ranging from a woman who lost her home in a fire to a family looking to redevelop a basement hangout area for their two adopted sons.

“Season 3 takes us through several fun home makeover projects for such wonderful clients,” says Shae in the couple’s official announcement. “It’s always a pleasure to give viewers a (real!) insight into our process, and we can’t wait to hear what you think!”

This season also delves into the McGees’ personal behind-the-scenes; namely, welcoming the newest addition to their family of five: baby Margot! The couple are embarking on a nursery design project with lots of input from big sisters Wren, 8, and Ivy, 5. Finally, it goes without saying that the family has grown a lot since season 1. Good news for fans who follow: Netflix has officially renewed Dream home makeover for season 4 coming next fall.
