Dentsu to buy majority stake in UX specialist Extentia

Media and marcoms group Dentsu is to acquire a majority stake in global technology company Extentia, whose services include user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. The terms of the contract are not disclosed.
Extentia’s Experience Studio includes a team of researchers, designers, developers, and artists who help clients develop engaging user experiences for mobile and web apps, and focus on brand and product design. identity, as well as on the design of corporate communications. The company also helps customers create their own mobile app development strategies and cloud computing solutions.
As part of the agreement, Extentia will join Merkle, Dentsu’s technology-driven, data-driven customer experience management (CXM) company. Extentia’s approximately 800 employees in Pune and Bengaluru, India, including the management team, will transfer to Merkle, and the company will be known as “Extentia, a Merkle Company”.
