More funds for Indonesian company Insight Populix

Indonesian mobile consumer information platform Populix has secured an additional $7.7 million in a Series A funding round, to continue enhancing its existing products and launching new services.
Based in Jakarta and founded in 2018 by CEO Timothy Astandu and COO Eileen Kamtawijoyo, Populix offers qualitative and quantitative research tapping into a pool of over 300,000 authentic, verified and highly targeted respondents across Indonesia, and claims that 45 % of all customers are first-in-time users of consumer information. That of the firm pop note credit rating system, assesses the quality of a respondent in terms of sincerity and activity; datasets on different generational groups are available by subscription (Genz is available now and Millennials will follow in the fourth quarter of this year, as well as sub-panels including car owners, working professionals and other respondent profiles; and SaaaS a la carte Poplite platform research for mass users, which is expected to be enhanced in the next quarter with the new Survey Builder 2.0 functionality.
The new funding round was led by Intudo Ventures and Acrew Capital, with participation from Altos Ventures and Quest Ventures, and follows a $1.2 million pre-Series A round thirteen months ago. The company says its revenue has tripled in the past year and plans next year to initiate regional expansion into neighboring Southeast Asian countries, focusing on focusing on Poplite and leveraging its dominant position in Indonesia.
