MILWAUKEE – Young Brewers fans, it’s time to grab your crayons, markers and art supplies and get those creative juices flowing. The Milwaukee Brewers launched today, in partnership with Everfi, the Jackie Robinson Art Challengeencouraging Wisconsin fans under the age of 18 to create original artistic expression that captures the spirit of one or more of Jackie Robinson’s values - as identified by her daughter Sharon’s book, “Jackie Robinson’s Values to Live By: Becoming Your Best Self” – citizenship, commitment, courage, determination, excellence, integrity, justice, perseverance and teamwork.
The top three performers and their families will be invited to American Family Field for a future game and will be recognized on the field, with their artwork displayed on the Brewers scoreboard. The Grand Prize winner will throw the ceremonial first pitch with their artwork displayed on the Summer Slugger Brewers Challenge webpage.
Starting today, fans can complete the digital entry form, one entry per person, available at summerslugger.com/brewerschallenge. Children are encouraged to be creative, be inspired by Jackie Robinson and create an original work of art. Art can be crafted in any form with no size or color limitation and can include painting, drawing or rendering.
